Run a Google search for the terms “Cincinnati painter” and you’ll immediately have hundreds of companies to choose from. Problem is, not all contractors are equal. You’ll get vastly different results depending on the company you choose to hire. That’s why it’s important that you take the time to learn a bit about the contractors you’re considering hiring. Look beyond the simple cost estimate they give you for the job.
First of all, you’ll want to know some basic factual pieces of information. Is the painter insured? Do they have solid references they can provide you with from previous clients? Do they guarantee their work? Do they use high-quality, low-VOC paint? These are questions you should be able to get simple, quick answers to that will help you to know whether the contractor meets basic professional standards.
But beyond these, there are other qualities you should probably consider. Do they have a record of showing up for and completing jobs on time? Do they pay proper attention to detail? You don’t want sloppy edges where paint colors meet, or splashes of wall paint on your trim and ceiling. Do they know how to properly prep a room or house for painting? Walls need to be properly caulked and primed, and any underlying structural issues, such as rotting wood, should be addressed before paint is applied. Are the workers polite and family-friendly? Do they work cleanly?
At GreenWay Paint, we can honestly answer all these questions with a solid yes. And if you don’t believe us, we’ll be happy to give you outstanding references from folks who’ve hired us in the past.
