Using Paint Color to Determine a Room's Mood

by / Monday, 16 January 2012 / Published in Interior House Painting

So by now, many of us are at least beginning to overcome the madness of the holidays. You sit back and think about what you would like to accomplish this year. You’ve thought about painting a room or painting furniture, but your mind goes back to the fact that you would really like to relax when you come home from work. Or maybe you work from home, and you want a new look entirely. Either way, Greenway Painting can paint a room the right colors to create a mood that will help you to come home and relax. Or, on the contrary, we can also paint a room that is stimulating and will help to motivate you.

So we’ve already established the fact that you would like to create a certain mood for the rooms within your home. But which room should you start with?  If you are one of those people that like to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen, then perhaps soft yellows, peaches, terracottas and golds are best for you. These tones are very vivacious and stimulating. However, if you are a person on the go and would like a place to relax after heating up cold take-out after a long day of work, then perhaps soft blues, greens and grays would be best for you.

This is simply one idea for one room; we can help you pick and establish the color scheme you envision for  your entire home. Please consider Greenway Painting, your Northern Kentucky Painters, for all of your painting needs. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
