There’s nothing like a finished basement. When I was little, this was a place where Nerf Gun wars and countless games of Mega Force took place. My brothers and I would set up the Mega Force action figures and create our own game. We would set up the battlefield, and use marbles to fire upon each other. If we flicked the marble and it hit the other tank, that tank was destroyed. Bigger tanks required more shots. I still have fond memories of that basement to this day.
If you are a homeowner, perhaps it’s time that you realized you need to finish that basement of yours. Or perhaps you have already finished it, and you just need to paint it a color that will make it look awesome. The basement can be a place where you send your kids to play, but it can also serve as a quiet retreat for yourself. Or perhaps you have a bar down there and would like to spruce it up for guests. Determining the primary use of the basement will help you to know what color you would like to paint it.
Painting a basement can be difficult, given the lack of access to proper air ventilation and the fact that basements are moister environments than the rest of the house. When you paint a basement, you’ll want to select a primer that will work with concrete walls (unless it is finished). Latex enamel paint is a good start. Many people prefer concrete epoxy paint because it is very easy to use, however its application can be rather difficult.
If you are looking to hire a professional to paint your basement the right way, we at Greenway Painting are here to help! We have all that you’d want from a Cincinnati painter, including the right equipment to clean, prime and paint your basement the right way.
