Spring: Painting Work Picks Up

March 28th, 2010 at 11:03

My work crew has been working full-time for over a month now and I’ve been working overtime.  This is to be expected at this time of year for painting contractors.  However, I am surprised at the number of jobs that I’ve been going out to bid where the homeowner is sharing how they had a couple of other painting crews out already to give estimates and they are not busy at all.

There is something to be said for promptness and professionalism, which I guarantee you’ll have with GreenWay.  There’s a reason why a lot of painters are not working at the end of March in 2010.  And there is a reason why other painting contractors have work coming out there ears at this time of year.  I talked with a colleague of mine who owns a painting business in the area and he is a couple of months out already with work like we are…because he also does professional work.

You can find a cheap painter right now for sure; they are a dime a dozen.  And then you can find a painter who will give you the durability and professionalism you need that will keep all your neighbors talking.  My advice is: don’t hire someone who you’ll have to go over his work a year or two later.
